Mary Ellen O'Brien's Obituary
O’BRIENMary Ellen passed away on November 8th, 2012 in Miami Shores, Florida at age 61 in the loving presence of her husband, Anthony Tripodo, and sons Andrew and John. Her final days were spent in the company of those she loved—surrounded by support and appreciation. She was a thorough Floridian, born and raised in Miami Shores, receiving her Bachelor’s degree from UF and FIU, and raising her two sons mere miles from her own birthplace. Her oldest son, Bodhi, passed away in 2003. His untimely death left a deep, lasting impression on Mary Ellen and memories of him enlivened her life until her final days. As a mother, she was totally, sincerely devoted to the details of her sons’ lives—making them feel profoundly cared for and mildly frustrated. As a wife she was loving, gentle, and supportive—having an overall softening, grounding effect on her husband. As a human being, she was warm, vital, sensitive, and compassionate. She rarely found a person she disliked and even more rarely found one who wasn’t touched by her indiscriminate charm. She was a vitalizing presence. She possessed both sensitivity and strength—a rare, remarkable combination that was rooted in her wondrous vitality. She was deeply spiritual and believed in angels, so certainly resides with them now, looking down on us.BLASBERG-RUBIN-ZILBERT(305) 538-6371
