Dear Carolyn,
I just found out from Herminia Mendez that Max passed away in January. I am retired from Cherry Bekaert LLP, formally Berenfeld, Spritzer, Shechter & Sheer (“BSS&S”), and met Max when we were still BSS&S. As I read through some of the still available tributes and his obituary online I am not surprised at the emphasis on his gentleness, kindness, honesty, and his love for his family and I echo them all. He came into the office around March of each year to have a couple of returns done and I was touched how he truly cared about each one, mostly family but also a few elderly friends that otherwise would not get their returns filed each year. We didn’t just talk about tax returns, but world events, family and of course, his excitement about the golf book. One year Max gave me a beautiful crystal votive candle holder that has ever since been placed in a noticeable spot in our home. I am forever grateful for it. May your family and your memories with Max along with those shared by others bring you peace and comfort. Jocelyn Flynt

There are truly no words to express how blessed our family was to have had a second dad growing up that lived next door. No matter the issue, no matter the time of day or night, Max Breslow never turned away a chance to hold our hands, softly guide us through any issues , (even when those issues made us mad at our own parents who just happened to be his very close friends).

I will never forget the "Den" , his lectures there, and his constant protection of myself and Steven when we got into trouble not listening to Carolyn who we lovingly called .. "Sergeant Breslow" growing up.

This world is truly a better place for having had Max Breslow in it. The Decker Family will forever carry him in our hearts ,and will never forget his influence, friendship and love.

Judy Subar and I (Cary Fleischer) convey our sympathy to Dave and the entire family. Judy will remember Max as the energetic kind man who helped her in time of trouble with her golf swing. More important than the book Max wrote on golf, were the lessons he taught on being a mensch.

I loved Uncle Max. I’ve known him since I was a little boy. I’m 67 and still feel the same towards him when my family stayed at 2166 N.E. 187th Street in North Miami Beach. We were at first 5 of us and then 6. Uncle Max always made us feel welcome. We visited from Chicago in the winters. While we weren’t blood relatives, I felt and still feel I lost a dear Uncle. Auntie Carolyn always took care of Uncle Max. He always carried himself with class and dignity. I will miss my Uncle Max. Mickey Berman

The Breslows were second parents to me growing up . The times Steven and I shared as kids running between patios were memories I will forever hold dear in my heart . Mr Breslow was the soft , gentle hand that guided us through our young years and there was never a moment he did not take to spend time with all of us . He was an influence in all of our lives and made a true difference for many . Our parents shared a friendship that has lasted over 50 years . The Decker Family will always cherish our moments with the Breslow family and we will never forget the gentle, kind love offered by this exceptional soul . All of our love ..
