Maxine Drucker Cohn's Obituary
Maxine Drucker Cohn was the fifth of six children born to Dora Gillman and Morris Drucker. She was California's Fremont High School's valedictorian and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA. Maxine was the loving wife of Robert A. Cohn with whom she enthusiastically traveled the world, played tennis, golfed, sailed, camped and square danced. Both were generous supporters of the State of Israel.
Always cheerful and energetic, Maxine taught reading at Fairview School in Skokie, Illinois and later became the indispensable office manager of the Shimpo America Corporation. She never turned down any request for advice and always helped edit her children's and grandchildren's writing assignments and publications.
Maxine was the proud mother of Jimmy (Lisa), Janis (Myer), Lisa (Rich) and Elaine. She was also "Bubbie" to Elisheva (Harris), Shira (Kivi), Rachel, Amichai, Lauren (Lee), Anna, Matt and Alex, and "Blonde Bubbie" to great grandchildren Gideon, Aviv, Alex, Annabelle and Juliet. She was greatly loved and will be missed.
