Dr. Melvin A. Klein's Obituary
Melvin Klein, MD, PHD left our world in the early hours of February 21, 2018 after a year of illness. Dr. Klein was an extraordinary physician and had his practice on Miami Beach for 45 years. He studied medicine at the University of Zürich Switzerland from 1949 to 1954. He dedicated his professional life to the practice of medicine and the remainder of his years to his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. He is survived by Louise, his wife of 70 years, by his son and daughter-in-law Lawrence and Arlene Klein, his daughter Leah Dumont, and his son Bruce. He is also survived by his seven beloved grandchildren Adam, Andrew, Ronald, Benjamin, Dahlia, Aluna, and Bodhi. He mourned the loss of his son Ronnie who died tragically in 1976 at the age of 22. He loved living in Florida and being in the outdoors where he was an avid boater, sailor, and fisherman. In his latter years he was dedicated to photography and was locally famous for his incredible flower pictures. He will be fondly remembered, and missed by everyone who knew him.
