Michael Brumer's Obituary
Michael Brumer October 7, 1924 - August 4, 2022
Miami, Florida - The family of Michael Brumer is deeply saddened by his loss. The patriarch of the Brumer household passed away at the amazing age of 97 on August 4, 2022. His wife of 70 years, Dorothy, and son, Marc, by his side. He is also survived by his daughter Pamela, and grandchildren Nicole, Jordan, Kelly, and Daniel. Michael was also fortunate to have 3 great-granddaughters, Brooke, Madison, and Morgan. Other Survivors include his sister Beatrice, and many nieces and nephews. Michael was born October 7, 1924, in Kingston, New York. He graduated from Syracuse University where he met the love of his life, Dorothy, known to everyone as Dottie. They traveled the world and purchased a home in Marbella, Spain where the family spent almost every summer. Puerto Banus was their home away from home where they cultivated so many friends from around the world. As an attorney, he was in a class of his own. Fuller and Brumer occupied the former Ainsley Building in downtown Miami. Michael knew just about everyone and could not walk down the street without being stopped by someone he knew. He will be remembered as one of the best attorneys in Miami. Brumer, Cohen, Logan, and Kandell achieved many milestones in personal injury cases. Michael embraced the law and worked long and hard hours to compensate his clients who had been injured by the negligence of others. His empathy was so great when it came to the pain and suffering of others. His son Marc has now elevated Brumer & Brumer to a world class law firm.
Michael and Dorothy were both an integral part of the Miami Beach community. He was a Founder of Mount Sinai Hospital, active in the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Temple Beth Sholom and the Rok Family Shul of Downtown Miami where many children attend the Brumer Preschool of the Arts. His greatest achievement was not the law, but rather his family. There was no limit to what he would do for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by so many. Should you be inclined to make a donation in Michael Brumer's memory please consider the Rok family Shul. https://www.jewishdowntown.net Graveside Service, Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Shalom Memorial Gardens, 15800 NE 18th Avenue, North Miami Beach, Florida 33162 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
