Michael Wagner's Obituary
We are saddened to announce the death of Michael Wagner of Coconut Creek, Florida on April 25, 2023. He was 80 years old.
Michael was born in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Cedarhurst, NY early in his childhood and spent most of his life living there and in the neighboring town of Lawrence, NY. Michael was a proud graduate of the Cornwall Academy in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
Michael met his wife, Dale, in 1965 on the Long Island Railroad. They were lovingly married for 55 years.
After winding-down a family business, Michael and Dale decided to leave the place they had called home for their entire lives and start a new adventure in Port St. Lucie, Florida. After which, they relocated to Coconut Creek.
Michael’s professional life spanned several industries. He most cherished the time he spent working with his father at the transportation service they founded together. One of our great family traditions was happily waiting for Michael and his father to arrive for holiday celebrations after a long day of work.
Michael spent his later years driving around south Florida attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, always decked out in team gear, with a huge smile on his face no matter what the score.
Michael is survived by his wife Dale (Citron) Wagner, his son Scott Wagner and daughter-in-law Alexis Wagner of Miami Beach, his grandchildren Teddy and Max Wagner, and his sister Susan Wagner of Clearwater, Florida. He was predeceased by his parents Tenny and Faye Wagner and his brother Edward Wagner.
