Mijel Brazlavsky's Obituary
BRAZLAVSKY, Mijel, 80, lived a wonderful life with his wife of over 57 years Zilia, his children Gilda, Dora and Phillip, his son-in-laws Steve and Mitchell, his daughter-in-law Jodi and his grandchildren Erika, Sean, Garret, Eryn and David. Born in Havana, Cuba in 1934, he brought his young family to Miami Beach in 1963. A giving, loyal man of great pride and integrity, Mijel was a highly respected leader in the South Florida community and the devoted patriarch of his loving family. He started his professional life as a manufacturer and then seller of men's apparel. After selling the business, he became the Executive Director of Temple Menorah in Miami Beach and then the Miami-Dade Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture. Though a hard-working business man, his family was always his main priority. With his beloved wife, he spread his love to his 3 children, now thriving members of the South Florida community, and was a very strong nurturing influence on all five of his grand-children. Mijel was a great man that set an inspiring example for others. He was a mensch of mensch and will live on in the hearts and souls of those that were blessed to have known him. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, www.damonrunyon.org, in memory of Mijel Brazlavsky. Chapel Service 11:00 a.m., Sunday, August 23rd at Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert, 720-71st Street, Miami Beach (305) 865-2353
