Mildred "Mitzi" Bashein's Obituary
Mildred “Mitzi” Bashein of Hollywood, FL died on February 27, 2014. Mitzi loving wife of Sidney Bashein for 58 years passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband Sidney, sons Jay and Hal, daughter in law Jeanne, Sister Esther, and grandchildren Alan, Ricky, Alec and James. Mitzi was born on July 9, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She grew up in Cincinnati and was a graduate of The University of Cincinnati. After her college years she moved to New York where she met Sidney. In addition to raising her two sons in Great Neck, NY, she was a social worker and did volunteer work in hospitals. In the early 1980s Mitzi and Sidney moved to North Miami, where they spent the next 30 years. Mitzi was an avid tennis player, loved the game of bridge and socialized with many great friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Graveside service 11 am Sunday, March 2 at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25 Street, Doral, FL 33172. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Mitzi’s name to Alyn Hospital.
