Mildred Mae Bloom's Obituary
Mildred “Millie” May Bloom
July 02, 1922 - February 19th, 2020
Mildred Bloom, 97, left this Earth on Wednesday February 19th, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Mildred, or “Millie” as her friends called her, loved her family and friends with a passion. She enjoyed over 20 years of playing golf, cards and Mahjongg with her loving friends at the Hollybrook Golf & Tennis community center, going to the movies and dinner with “The Girls,” going to the beauty parlor, gambling at their favorite casinos, and spoiling her grandchildren. Mildred was the Matriarch of a Five Generation family and had an adoring relationship with her five-year-old great-great granddaughter Haven. She had a great passion for caring for others, and an insatiable demand of making sure everyone else ate enough and had plenty of rest. Mildred was a perfect mix of stubbornness, humor, independence and love. She always was the first to offer help to others but last to accept any help for herself when offered.
Mildred was preceded in death by the love of her life, Seymour, in 1999 and son-in-law, Drew Cascardi, in 2019. She is survived by her sister Betty Pasichow (Milt); her loving daughters Roni Ziegler (Michael), Naomi Gunn (Edward); Four grandchildren - Denise Cascardi, Justin Ziegler (Lisa), Tamara Brucato (Jill), and Benjamin Brucato; One great-grandchild Desaree Brucato, and one great-great grandchildren, Haven Sutphin.
Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation to the Humane Society of America.
