Mildred Sarah Horowitz's Obituary
Mildred Sarah Horowitz (nee Goldberg), mother, grandmother and great- grandmother has died peacefully in Hollywood from natural causes due to old age. Born in NJ May 28, 1917, she grew up in Newark and Brooklyn, NY. She married Bill Horowitz in 1939 in NYC where they started a family before moving to Miami Beach in 1955 and to Pembroke Pines in 19__ where she lived until 2012. Aside from being a tennis player, Mildred donated her time to events for Hadassah and City of Hope. Mildred and Bill loved their lives in Florida, taking advantage of the weather and the water. Their three children graduated from Miami Beach High School. Bill and her son, Stephen proceeded her in death. She is survived by her children, Satsimran Kaur of Los Angeles and Martin Horowitz of Aspen; grandchildren Jonah Horowtiz, Yuri Horowitz, Grace Horowitz, Maria Piessis, Jack Horowitz and Kate Horowitz and her great-grandson Silvan Showalter Horowitz. She will be interned next to Bill at Menorah Gardens in Ft. Lauderdale.
