Mildred Weintraub Kagan's Obituary
MILDRED WEINTRAUB KAGAN
95, Aventura, Florida passed away on June 28, 2015.
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Aunt to her family and friends.
A long time resident of N. Miami Beach, Mildred was active in many local charities and the Willie and Celia Trump Synagogue.
Mildred Kagan was dedicated to and trained as a public health nurse and held positions in New Jersey and Miami with the Public Heath Services.
A highly decorated Army nurse, Mildred served in France during WW2 at the Battle of the Bulge.
Among her many service decorations and honors, Mildred received the French Legion of Honor this past December.
Mildred is predeceased by her husband Seymour N. Kagan.
Survived by her sons Rabbi Yerachmiel Kagan (Chana) of Baltimore, Maryland and Russell J. Kagan of New York, NY, Grandchildren Gittel Follman (Moe), Sholom Kagan (Ariella), Chavie Portnoy (Yehoshua), Michael Kagan,Yehudis Brown (Yosef), Elisheva Greenberg (Yitzy), Devora Gerstein (Josh) and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday June 30, 2015 at Levitt Weinstein Memorial Chapel 18840 West Dixie Highway, N. Miami Beach, Fla 33180.
Interment at Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
