A charity with a special meaning for Minna Friedman
A bit of a story here ….In Bayit Vegan, Israel… a school was built in memory of Minna’s brother, Rabbi Aryeh Leib Heyman called Chikrei Lev, which teaches very high end Torah to children. Rabbi Heyman was an extremely learned man in Israel and throughout the world.
Minna’s brother always said… “money should be divided".
In honoring this beautiful lesson…..we decided to carry on just this way.
With that said….Uncle Leib’s daughter Shaina Malka suffered a brain tumor. We want to honor her as well so this money will go to her therapy and household assistance AND also to the Children’s Torah School named after Minna’s brother, called Chikrei Lev.
Please makes check to... Tzidkas Naftali. This is the organization's name that will divide all money between both causes. Rabbi Uncle Leib sat on that board, so it’s a beautiful mitzvah all around.
What makes this story most complete…..is Minna is the one who found Sheina Malka for them here in the US. Minna worked in a law firm in Miami. A woman came in and wanted a divorce. She was pregnant and was going to get an abortion. It didn’t take Minna long to turn this horrible situation into one of the greatest good deeds one can do, to save a life.
At that same time, Minna’s brother Leib, and wife Chaya were trying to have a baby. Sheina was born and adopted by Leib and Chaya Heyman. She is now about 52 years old and a mother of 8 and grandmother of 6.
Not only did Minna save a life, she helped created many.
