Miriam G. Hirschberger's Obituary
Miriam (Greenberg) Hirschberger, ended her life’s journey on Monday, December 28, 2020 after 97 years on earth. Miriam & her husband Leonard, who predeceased her, arrived in Miami in 1945 from Brooklyn, New York after WWII. After being a housewife for many years, she worked as an Executive Assistant for one of the first apartment developers on the “road to nowhere” Kendall Drive. Upon retirement Miriam moved to Century Village in Pembroke Pines. For many years she volunteered as a classroom teacher’s aid at Lakeside Elementary where she was adored as “grandma”. Miriam is survived by her daughter Karol Linton and her husband Bob, her daughter-in-law Karol Hirschberger, her son Jeffrey Hirschberger. Miriam is grandma to Kevin (Erica) Jonas , Steven (Ariel) Jonas. Eric Hirschberger (Liora) , Craig Hirschberger (Anna). Miriam was lucky to know & love her great grandchildren Dylan Jonas, Jared Jonas, Destiny Watson, Noah Hirschberger, Hannah Hirschberger. Many nieces and nephews called Miriam “Aunt”. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Palace Gardens Memory Care center for their kindnesses and caring and to Juniven Dunn and Lorna Richardson who were with Mom for many years.
