I am sorry to see that he has passed. He was a part of group of six of us close friends who went to Valley Stream South High, Valley Stream, NY. I remember that he was larger than life in his humor. He was the QB on the school's football team which put him out of commission for quite a while as he healed an injured knee. After getting his driver license he was the first of us to have a car. We double-dated once with two girls we had met on a Jewish enclave.
I was saddened to hear of Mitchell's passing. I worked with him for many years and learned a great deal from him. His work ethic, intelligence and courage as a lawyer were unparalleled. Mitchell loved to teach younger lawyers the ropes and he has thereby left an enduring and lasting legacy. Anyone who really knew Mitchell was aware that he was tough guy with a big heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time. Scott G. Richman
Mitchell and I went to American University at the same time we also graduated together from U of Miami law school. Mitchell sat right behind me in Constitutional law class--where he always made some erudite statement concerning the issues. He was quite brilliant both as a student and as a lawyer. He will be missed. Steve Malove
Mrs. Fuerst and family- I live in Columbus GA and never met Mitchell; however, my son has done some IT work for Mitchell's law firm. I'd sometimes hear about Mitchell, especially as I started a bow tie business. I'm told he always spoke truth and was fair. My son has a lot of respect for the man Mitchell was. You have my most heartfelt condolences. My heart goes out to each of you. - Judy Tucker
