Monica Kahn Steinman's Obituary
On Friday, August 26, 2022, Monica Kahn Steinman passed away at the age of 71, after a 5 year battle with Alzheimer’s/Dementia. Monica was loving wife, mom, nana, sister, aunt, and friend. She was may be one of the few true Floridians. Born in Miami Beach in 1951 to Werner and Johanna Kahn. She studied at the University of Oklahoma before returning to Florida. Upon returning she reunited with her high school sweetheart, Mark Steinman. On March 10, 1974, they married and then settled in Cooper City. They had one daughter, Jaclyn in 1983.
Monica was a loving wife to Mark, and an amazing mom to Jaclyn Plask and her son in law David Plask. She was a cherished nana to Addison and Garrett. She was a dear sister to David Kahn and sister-in-law Lyn Kahn: sister-in-law to Joe Steinman and (deceased) Barry Steinman. She was an beloved aunt to many, including Jill, Brandon, Zach, Dori, David, Audrey, and Scott. Monica was so loved and loved everyone in return. She never missed a birthday, holiday, wedding, or any event in everyone lives.
Monica had a passion for her friends, art, mah-jong, bookclub, shopping, and going out to lunch. She radiated joy and love wherever she went, having a gift to make everyone feel included and special. She worked for many years in the printing and invitation business, helping so many find the perfect wording for their special days.
Monica was a special person and a wonderful wife, mom, friend, and person who will truly be missed.
