Morty, as my Mom & his good friends called him, or sometimes Mort, was my Dad. He was, unquestionably, hands down, totally the greatest father, husband & friend & just all around wonderful person. He was very successful in his career, having been Vice President of Waumbec Mills Dyeing & finishing. Sometime after my Dad retired, this company was purchased by Berkshire Hathaway. Anyone who was anyone in the fabric business back in those days, knew my Dad. Most everyone really liked him. He was befriended by other vp's, secretary's, the waiters & waitress's that would serve him regularly at "The 500 Club" or the local Chock Full of Nuts or the coffee shop near his office on 7th Ave.. I know that anyone who knew him, on any level, truly enjoyed their relationship with him, no matter how seemingly insignificant or how ever important. I remember times when he would take me out for lunch in the middle of our work days. I don't know which one of us was prouder or happier. My Dad had many friends, as he was so outgoing , easy to talk to.##imported-begin##Lori Gail Zimmet Haner##imported-end##
