Myron H. Burnstein's Obituary
Myron (Mike) Burnstein, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 26, 1930, led a rich and fulfilled life with his wife of 63 years (Judge Miette Burnstein), two beloved children (Dr. Kerry Burnstein, and Atty. Mitchell Burnstein), five adoring grandchildren (Kyla and Liam Balkan and Ally, Hannah and Karly Burnstein), daughter-in-law (Jennifer Kimmelman Burnstein) and son-in-law (Dr. Wayne Balkan).
A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, he practiced law in Hollywood, Florida for over thirty years before becoming Deputy to Florida’s Attorney General, Bob Butterworth. Mike was passionate about protecting the South Florida environment through creating and enforcing zoning restrictions as a City of Hollywood attorney and by serving on the Florida Inland Navigation District. He was an avid tennis player and scuba diver.
