Nathan Epstein's Obituary
EPSTEIN, Nathan, age 94, of Hollywood, Florida, died March 9, 2016. Beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Born in Brooklyn, April 10, 1921, “Red” proudly served as an Army Staff Sergeant in the 7th Fighter Command Army Air Force during World War II. After his tour, he settled in New York, graduating from NYU and working for Camerican International for forty years. Red is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Dorothy Epstein, his children Fran (David Gordon – fiancé) Waldman and Richard (Ana María Moraga) Epstein. He adored his grandchildren Scott (Kelli Serden – fiancée) Waldman, Emily Waldman, Jessica Epstein, Joseph Epstein, Abigail (Steven) Epstein-Hall, Rosie (Michael) Saunders, and great-grandchildren Selena Epstein, Allen Epstein, Logan Hall, Jude Hall and Joella Hall. Services will be held on Friday, March 11, at 12:00 pm at Beth David Memorial Gardens, 3201 N. 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL, 33024. Family will receive friends at the residence Friday following services until 5:00 pm, Saturday 7:00-9:00 pm, and Sunday 12:00-4:00 pm.
