Norman Lawrence was engaged by Robert Campeau to first set up Toronto's Harbour Castle and then to execute the final construction and details involved for the interiors, equipment, staffing of the yet to open Auberge de la Chaudière at Ottawa, Canada.
Norman hung the entire affair together. He brought me on as the Auberge's Director of Marketing & Sales.
Norman and I hosted numerous pre-opening events for press and travel writers. One group is pictured in the attached collection of photos with Norman standing at the rear actually one full step below everyone else.(His frame was 6'2" ).
Norman brought this project to its fulfillment and then took on another with the Government of Puerto Rico's Tourism Ministry.
He was a tall figure in the theatre of tourism.
