Norman Leon Weiner's Obituary
“Remember, Only You Can Make It A Good Day”
Norman Leon Weiner, (Nusan Lev Ben Shana Leah), of blessed memory, Miami, passed away November 28, 2017. He was 83. An orphan of Max and Jenny Weiner, of blessed memory, at age 14, Norman was cared for by his siblings and became independent at 16. Resourceful, creative, and ambitious, he moved from Baltimore Maryland at age 24 to successfully become president and director of First Financial Advisors Of Florida, Inc. and to start a family.
He had a passion for politics, entertaining, camping, the ocean, musicals, and anything to do with Disney. But mostly he loved being with family and friends. His commitment and devotion were manifested in his financial and emotional support, in spearheading once a year birthday/reunion extravaganzas, in his unique perspectives and involvement in our lives, and in his ability to laugh with us. He desired that we focus on the good in each other and in life.
He is survived and loved by his three daughters, Dawne Ellison, Jodie Weiner, and Michelle Olefson, his son in law, Douglas Ellison, his grandchildren, Elizabeth Ellison, Nora Pessar-Ellison, Ronen Pessar, Jacob Ellison, Jessica Weiner, Jason Olefson, Julia Olefson, and Jenna Olefson. He will be missed by his older sister Rebecca Lederman, and his nephews and nieces, Marvin and Roz Weiner, Harvey and Barbara Morris, Steve Morris, Gary Lederman, Judy and Ron Lawson.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 30, at 12 noon at the Levitt-Weinstein Beth David Chapel, 3201 Northwest 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, Fl 33024.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Michelle Olefson.
