Pearl Friedland's Obituary
On February 10th, 2015, Pearl Friedland passed away with a dog by her side and surrounded by her family. And while she passed peacefully, she left an emptiness that could be felt immediately. Her passing was marked by tears and by laughter, by stories and by memories, as her family came together to celebrate the 99 years of her fabulous life. Pearl will be remembered most for her generosity and her kindness. As the center of her family, and by orchestrating large family trips, Pearl was responsible for the closeness of her children and her grandchildren. And by always providing a helping hand, Pearl insured that her family – and her friends – were always healthy, safe and had a ticket to come visit!
Pearl Friedland spent 99 years pursuing life with an adventurous spirit, a kind heart and the desire for fun. When Pearl did anything in life, she did it to the extreme, whether it was working, playing, shopping, or gambling. She read every bestseller and saw every blockbuster. She loved a great story and could tell a great joke. She was glamorous and sweet and had the amazing ability to make you feel like you were the most special person in her life. Everyone was Pearl’s favorite, because that was how she loved – fully and to the extreme. And since Pearl was a self-proclaimed “naughty girl”, you knew that she would always understand and had more than likely conquered the same issue.
Pearl Friedland lived an amazing life. With a century of ups and downs, of glamour and turmoil, Pearl’s history is inspiring. And while the twinkle in her eye hinted at a few secrets, her stories are legendary and have created a rich understanding of the incredible life that Pearl led. Pearl is celebrated by her 4 children, her 8 grandchildren, her 12 great-grandchildren, her countless friends and anyone else who knew her. May we all live a life like Pearl – a life rich with family, fun, and passion.
