Pearl Kipnis' Obituary
Pearl Kipnis, passed away on September 4, 2021 at the age of 99. She was married for 73 years to the late Ted Kipnis. Mother of Priscilla Friedland, Alan Kipnis (Anna Marie), Steven Kipnis (Kathy); Grandmother of Randy Friedland, Stacy Friedland, Anna Marie Kipnis, Joseph Kipnis, Andrew (Deborah) Kipnis, Lauren Kipnis (Michael Schwolow), Lisa Kipnis, Alexander (Jami) Kipnis, Caroline Kipnis; Great Grandmother of Shelby Sanders, Marlo Friedland, Ella Friedland, Ava Kipnis, Alexander Kipnis; sister-in-law of the late Evelyn Lowell; aunt of Joanne Lowell and Helaine Schank (Harvey Donowitz). Pearl was a long-time volunteer at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Chair of the City of Miami Beach Fine Arts Board for 25 years. She started working on needlepoint as a hobby in 1972. She developed her own unique method of working with beads, velvet and angora. Her special joy was the custom work she completed for the rooms of newborn babies. Her work was exhibited in galleries and shows and remains in many homes throughout the U.S. Pearl will be remembered for her devotion to her family and will be in our hearts forever.
