Philip Wanger's Obituary
WANGER, Philip passed away September 19, 2016. Born in New York City December 5, 1927, raised in Miami Beach from age 7. He graduated from Miami Beach High School and then served in the U.S. Army WWII. The G.I. Bill served as a passage way to the University of Florida from which he graduated in 1950. He spent his entire life with Fruit of the Loom Corporation rising in ranks from Sales Representative to Executive Vice President of Marketing. In 1975, he moved back to Miami as Vice President Southeast Region and stayed in this role until retirement.
An avid tennis player, golfer and world traveler, Phil leaves his 2 daughters, Lynn and Robin (Richard), 4 grandchildren, Lisa, Rachel, Cory and Emily and his companion of the last 3 decades, Betty. He also leaves with the memories of his many friends in South Florida.
A private service will be held at Beth David Memorial Gardens and Chapel, Hollywood, Florida. As there is to be no public ceremony per his wishes, instead raise a glass of wine and offer a remembrance toast to his long and yet too short life.
