Rae Leff's Obituary
Rae Mayer Koshar Leff passed on May 22nd, 2015 & was interred at Levitt and Weinstein's 'Beth Davd Cemetery' in Hollywood, FL on this past Memorial Day.
Rae will be mourned by innumerable friends and family for the gentle & loving soul she was to all who knew her in her 91 years.
Born in Goldsboro, NC, on July 13, 1923, Rae grew up in humble beginnings in Raleigh, NC with her brothers Albert, Irvin; children of Marcus & Emma (Weinstein) Mayer &, later, a brother Joseph Rosaler.
Married to WWII Veteran, Jerry Koshar of Fallriver, MA, in 1945, following graduation from Watt's School of Nursing. The Koshar's had a 1st son Marcus David.
The Koshar's relocated to Boston & had two more boys; Alan Irvin & Eugene (later; 'Geno') Martin, before relocating to Miami in 1958, where Jill Alexa was born in 1968.
As an dedicated R.N., Rae rose to Director of Nurses of a hospital & nursing homes. Rae & Jerry became active members in the FL Jewish War Veterans & auxiliary; Rae rising to State Commander prior to Jerry's death in 1980.
Rae married Norton Leff, also a 'Commander' in JWV, in 1983 & Norton dedicated to Rae a wonderful life partnership until his death in 2003.
Rae will be ever so missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren & friends & will be remembered always with undying affection by all who knew her.
