Ralph Gerstenfeld's Obituary
Gerstenfeld, Ralph, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17 at age 86. Born on April 27, 1927 to Anna and Joe Gerstenfeld. Ralph is survived by devoted wife Bernice; 3 sons: Glenn (Mina), Jeff (Dina) and Mark; 9 grandchildren: Joseph, Daniel, Yoel, Yasmine, Hinda, Shmuel, Adam, David, Joshua and 6 great-grandchildren. Ralph served in the Merchant Marines for 7 years during and after World War II. This began a life long love affair with the sea. He left the sea, but it never left him. Ralph was Director of Payroll at the Fountainebleau and Doral Beach Hotels. He was very down to earth and a good, decent and very responsible man, who loved the sea, reading, traveling his two countries: America and Israel, but most of all his family. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, Dec. 20 at Levitt Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 18840 W. Dixie Hwy., North Miami Beach followed by the interment at Lakeside Memorial Park. Shiva will be at Ralph and Bernice’s home from Friday pm til Wednesday pm.
