Ramon Bakalchuk's Obituary
BAKALCHUK, Ramon 85, of Surfside, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at home. Ramon was born in Havana, Cuba (La Colonia Hebrea Cubana) in 1929 to Aizik and Fruma Bakalchuk of Pinsk, Russia.
Ramon was a sensitive man who helped many people in need, enjoyed living life, and who will forever be remembered dancing salsa with style and grace with his wife Mercedes (“Mechi”) of 56 years. Ramon was extremely loving and proud of his two sons Leonard and Phillip, and doted on his three grandchildren Ellie, Sara, and Adam. He is also survived by his sister Sonia Stern of Delray Beach, FL; his brother David of Oakland, CA; as well as his many loving nieces, nephews and other friends.
