My condolences to the children and grandchildren on the passing of my dear high school friend Rebecca Shapiro. Rebecca and I were very good friends at HB Plant high school in Tampa during the early 60s. I remember Rebecca and I would pal around at school and when we got home we’d call each other on the phone and talk until our parents made us hang up. She was a good friend and we talked often over the years after I got married and she got married. Later I talked to Sydney after Rebecca became ill. I’m also going to leave condolences for Sydney. Rebecca and Sydney met me at the airport in Miami in 1996 on my way to the Galapagos islands. We had a nice visit at the airport and he seemed like a very nice man. I called him often later after Rebecca became too ill to talk on the phone. My dearest friend Rebecca, I do miss our talks and our lasting friendship. May you and your husband rest in peace.
