Reva Wexler's Obituary
WEXLER
Reva Martin Wexler died Tues. Sept. 12, 2017. She was born in Hazleton, PA in 1920. Graduated Hazleton State Hospital School of Nursing in 1940. Moved to Miami Beach in 1943 and married Irving L. Wexler in 1946. They were married 43 years and had three children, Sammy, Myra and Jerry. She had two careers and embraced both with passion, zeal and commitment. As a volunteer, she was Pres. of Fairlawn Elementary School PTA and a Board Member of the Dade County PTA. She was Pres. of the Greater Miami Section National Council of Jewish Women and Pres. of the Greater Miami Federation Women's Division. She was a social action activist in 1976, she was employed by the South Broward Jewish Federation as the Director of the Women's Division and subsequently as the campaign director. During these tenures she mentored many young women and men which enriched her life and brought her much joy. She is survived by her beloved daughter Myra Louise Wexler and a granddaughter Afton. Contributions in her memory may be made to the philanthropy of your choice. Funeral services Tues. Sept. 19th 12:00 Noon at Levitt Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 3201 NW 72nd Ave., Hollywood 33024, (954) 963-2400, interment to follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, 5505 NW 3rd Street, Miami 33126.
