Rhoda Josepher's Obituary
Josepher, Rhoda, 90, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away at her home on
December 6, 2016. Rhoda was the surviving spouse of her beloved husband,
Morris, to whom she was married for 66 years. Rhoda was born February 1,
1926 in the Passaic, New Jersey, to Louis and Yetta Vogel. She was raised in
Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Florida in 1944. Rhoda survived her
brothers and sister, Joel Vogel, Sidney Vogel, and Jean Gershenoff. Rhoda’s
immediate family members are: children, Cheryl (Ken) and Rick (Lois, decd.),
three grandchildren, Jay Hardin (Stephanie), Leah and Sam, and two great
grandchildren, Jackson and Madeline Hardin. Rhoda was a friend and sister-inlaw
to Estelle Sage and Sydney Josepher (dec’d), and the beloved aunt to: (1)
Sandra Gershenoff and Carol Accornero (Harry), (2) Steven (Leslie) Vogel,
Howard Vogel (Amy), and Ken Vogel (Vickie), (3) Ronald Josepher and Barry
Josepher, and (4) Cynthia Minot (Hal), Jessica Sage Rosenblatt (Paul) and
Matthew Sage (Paula). Rhoda was a full-time mother, who was active in
charitable organizations for lung diseases and an active member of her Temple’s
sisterhood. Rhoda was a Dodger fan and was ordering vitamins and “health
foods” before they were popular. She was always there for her husband, Morris,
her children, and was a model grandma. Rhoda, spirited and “forever young,”
became a role model to friends and family members of the next generation and
was sometimes referred to as “my adopted mother.” She was a beautiful person,
quietly classy, and very cool. A family grave site service will be held Thursday,
at 11:30 a.m. at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th St., Miami, FL 33172
(305) 592-0690.
