PASKOW, RICKY
12/18/26-6/27/16
Ricky was born in Mt. Vernon, NY, to Arthur & Irene Schindel; she graduated from Mt. Vernon High, and Mt. Ida Junior College. She married Stanley Broff in Manhattan, where her three children were born and lived until Stanley's passing. In 1964 she married, Larry Paskow, the "love of her life", and moved her family to Miami Beach, where she ruled as "Queen" of the Harbor Island Spa. Together they traveled the world and shared 21 wonderful years of marriage, until Larry's passing. Ricky's dedication to the many charitable organizations that she supported are recognized by countless awards and honors she received. Some of the most notable are; Woman of the Year by the City of Hope, where she served on the National Board of Directors, member of the Notables at the Jewish Home and Hospital, a Founder at Mt. Sinai Hospital, and member of their Woman to Woman program. Ricky is survived by her son Michael (Rita) and their children, Justin & Larry, and their granddaughter Gianna; her son Geoffrey (Andrea) and his step children Rachel, Cynthia & Marcos; her son Ira, and his children Aaron & Jordan. Her step granddaughters Randi Cannon, and children Zack, Juliette, Jack, & Olivia; Risa (Harry) Schessel, and children Bradley & Lauren; Erika (Scott) Novick, and children Iris, Jack & Stuart Senior, & Ryan Novick, and step grandson Andrew Paskow. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Elliott Schindel. Ricky cherished her family. She was a kind, generous, caring, witty, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She only wanted the best for her family, and would do anything to make sure they were happy and taken care of. Mom, with heavy hearts we love and miss you. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Phyllis Dropkin chapter of the City of Hope, or the charity of your choice.
