Jaffe, Dr. Robert J., 90 of Miami Beach, Florida. Beloved husband of Bernice "Bunny" Jaffe for 64 years; loving father of Stephen (Chequita) Jaffe, Dr. Richard Jaffe and Susie Jaffe; cherished grandfather of Jason, Logan, Alix, Hunter, Bo, Seth, Taylor, Jessica, Chandler, Stephanie, Max, Spencer and Madison; adored great-grandfather of Enzo.
Dr. Robert Jaffe, an esteemed cardiologist and internist with a boundless capacity for wit and curiosity, died on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where he practiced medicine for 35 years.
Dr. Jaffe was born on March 8, 1927 in Norristown, Penn., to Morris and Pearl Jaffe. He served with the U.S. Navy at Sampson Naval Base, and graduated from Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia in 1953. He completed his internship and residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., before beginning his practice in Miami Beach in 1957.
