Robert M. Schwedel's Obituary
Robert M. Schwedel, Age 89, died peacefully amongst his family in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Bob Schwedel was born in 1931 and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He was a graduate of NYU in Business Administration and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
After his military service, he moved to Miami Beach, Florida, where he worked as a financial consultant until age 72 for Prudential Investments. He married Renee Herman in 1958 and they had three children: Lisa, David and Steven Schwedel. He was a kind and generous father, and active in their lives.
In 2010, he married Elke Weintraub and was married to her until her death in 2019.
Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved living the summers in the Berkshires, and his winters in South Florida. He enjoyed following his favorite sport teams, played competitive Bridge, and spending time with his three grandchildren. He was a bright and energetic man.
He is survived by his children Lisa, David (Maria Isabel) & Steven (Julia) Schwedel, and grandchildren Simone, Levi, and Wyatt Schwedel.
