Rona Beth Benigno's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rona Beth Benigno, born on August 1, 1955, who left us on March 13, 2025. Rona dedicated over 50 years of her life to a successful career in banking, where she made countless friends and touched many lives. She had a passion for reading and cherished her time spent at the beach, where she found joy and tranquility.
Rona was previously widowed after being married to Frank Benigno for nearly 21 years. Rona is survived by her beloved children, Jesse Benigno (and wife Carli) and Marissa Slate (and husband Brian). She was a proud grandmother to Frankie (6) and Berkleigh (4.5), who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her sister Nadine Erickson Young (and husband William), nephews Jordan and Zachary Erickson, and brother Neal Morrin.
Rona peacefully passed away at her son's home, surrounded by her loving children, after a quiet battle with cancer.
A celebration of life is tentatively planned for this summer at Jones Beach, NY, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory. Further details will be shared at a later date.
