Rosalind Ruderman's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosalind K. Ruderman. Rosalind, age 83 of Weston, Florida passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 4, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital of Weston.
Rosalind (Roz) was born on August 31, 1934 in Detroit Michigan to Meyer and Eva (nee Goldenberg) Kahldon. After attending Detroit Cal Tech High School and graduating college, Roz began a successful career at General Motors working directly with the President.
As an example of her fun-loving spirit, Roz met her future husband Irvin Ruderman (Irv), on a blind date where they went ice skating. They were married shortly thereafter, on October 22, 1961. The two began to build their lives and raised a family in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Roz was very active within the community. She held various offices with the Rahr West Museum, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, ESA Sorority, Garden Club, Hadassah, Manitowoc Jaycets and the Junior League. Roz was a Girl Scout leader for her daughter’s troop, an active bowler, loved reading books and was an extremely talented artist working with charcoals, pastels and ceramics. Roz was also an outstanding cook, entertainer, and accomplished business woman.
After raising two beautiful daughters, Irv and Roz moved to Weston, Florida. Over the past 30 years Roz worked as a real estate broker and also in retail sales. She participated actively in the 55+ Group and played mahjong 1-2 times a week.
Roz was a very positive, fun loving, and happy woman. A magnificent mother and thoughtful friend. She was always thinking of others.
We will miss her dearly.
Roz is survived by her two daughters: Sheri (Brian) Schwam, Delray Beach; Stacey Ruderman, Weston; nieces, nephews and many friends.
A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 8th at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapels & Cemeteries, 3201 NW 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL
