Rose Lillian Chern's Obituary
CHERNRose Lillian, 80 of Miami and Clonakilty, passed away early Tuesday morning, Nov. 15th at South Miami Hospital. Born January 8, 1931 in New York City to Sam and Sarah Gurny. She moved to Miami Beach with them in 1947. While attending the University of Miami, she met and married the late Marshall Chern, her beloved husband of 55 years. There are simply not words to convey the depth and magic of their relationship and astonishing life they lived together. Lillian is survived by her brother, Leon, her three children, Dennis (Anne), Evan (Gladys) and Carrie (Jeff). She leaves 5 adored grandchildren, Jason, Aaron, Lindy, Joshua and Zachery, and 2 precious great-grandchildren, Karson and Jake. She will be as greatly missed in passing, on both sides of the Atlantic, as she was greatly cherished in life by all who knew her. Graveside Service, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 17th at Mt.
