Roslyn Katz Tracton passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 91 in Aventura, FL. Born on January 26, 1933, Roslyn was known for her fierce love for her children and her impeccable sense of style.
Throughout her life, Roslyn cherished the friendships she forged, particularly with her "VI girls" in her later years. She had a vibrant personality that was complemented by her active engagement in various games including Mah Jong, bridge, bingo, and card games, which she enjoyed with her friends. She was also an accomplished artist, loved music, and an interior designer.
Professionally, Roslyn was a research chemist who co-authored a published paper. Her career, marked by passion and dedication, was set aside for her family, demonstrating her deep commitment to her loved ones.
Rosyln is survived by her brother, Dr. Arnie Katz (Renee), her children, Michael, Linda, Mindy (Frank), and Syndi, grandchildren James Michael-Ross, Jared, and Jason, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Barry Tracton, in 2017.
There will be no services as per her wishes. Roslyn's life was a testament to her love for her family, her intellectual contributions to science, and the joy she found in her hobbies and friendships.
