Roslyn Yavers' Obituary
YAVERS
Roslyn Shirley Eckstein 92 of Miami Beach passed away on January 13, 2014. Born in the Bronx, New York, she is predeceased by her loving husband Charles, parents Fanny and Max Eckstein, and brother Norman Eckstein (Irene). She is survived by her daughters Fran (Dr. Fred) Felser and Martha Yavers and her nieces, nephews and cousins. A woman ahead of her time, Roslyn put herself through Hunter College and Brooklyn Law School in the early 1940s even though she had lost both her parents as a teenage girl. Proud of this accomplishment, she had yet another goal which was to have a close family of her own. Roslyn achieved this goal with great aplomb as she became a devoted wife of 59 years to her beloved Charlie and dedicated mother to her two girls. She will be sadly missed by those she touched. Our sincerest thanks and appreciation to her caretakers Marie Josee, Darline, Shana and Lyubov for all the love and kindness they showed her as well as for the wonderful care they provided. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation or the charity of your choice.
Graveside Service 12:00 noon, January 14th at Mt. Nebo Memorial Gardens, 5505 NW 3rd St., Miami. Shiva to follow at the Felser home.
