Ruth Friedman's Obituary
FRIEDMAN
Ruth nee Ruth Berkowitz passed away on March 31, 2013. She was preceded by her beloved husband Eli Friedman. Ruth was born September 1, 1921 in Cleveland Ohio, to parents Andrew and Rose Berkowitz. Ruth lost her husband at a young age and never remarried, in order to devote her life to her 3 young children, Evan, Max and Garry, all of which grew up to be Doctors, which Ruth was very proud of. She was a mother and a father to her children, and also had many business interests. She managed a portfolio of investment properties in Dade and Broward County. Ruth also found time to travel extensively around the world when her business interests allowed it. She did what no one else could do. She was lifelong member of Beth David Synagogue and Hadassah. Ruth always made it a point to give too many charities without being recognized for it. Ruth did things quietly with little notice, never taking credit for anything. She was always there to help other people, not only her family. Whenever anybody needed anything, she was always there for them. Ruth did what nobody else could do. She had a special relationship with her husband’s brother Harry Friedman of Ellington, CT. They had a special loving bond, which allowed them to celebrate life together. Ruth was also an avid golfer, tennis player and reader. Ruth loved her Jewish religion and raised her children in the Jewish way of life. She always stressed the importance to her children and grandchildren of following the rules of the Torah. She is survived by her 3 children Dr. Evan Friedman, Dr. Max Friedman & Dr. Garry Friedman. Nine grandchildren & two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Chapel Services TODAY, Wednesday, April 3rd at 12:30 p.m. at
