Ruth Pell's Obituary
Ruth Pell (Cowler) passed away on April 8, 2018 in Lake Worth, Florida at the age of 96. She leaves a son (Barry) and daughter-in-law (Nancy), a grandson (Benjamin), and two great grandchildren (Miles and Hannah). She was predeceased by her sister (Shirley Spector). Her marriage to Arthur Pellegrino ended in divorce. Ruth was raised in the Bronx, New York, where she graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School, and enjoyed the sights and cultural attractions of Manhattan with her many girlfriends. She worked as an insurance bookkeeper and, later, on the administrative staff of Hunter College. She relocated to Florida upon her retirement and lived for many years at Cresthaven East in West Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the United Ostomy Associations of America website ostomy.org.
