Brian And Kathy Goldensohn
I remember our families getting together for dinner at Billy's Seafood restaurant in Miami FL. Me and Dennis were going to eat a Stone Claw all-you-can-eat dinner. My father Sam and Sal were telling Dennis and I we're crazy there is no way they would ever pay 85 dollars(1985) for a Stone Claw crab dinner. I asked the waiter to please bring the 2 of them a taste of the crab. No more said, we were there for three half hours eating Stone Claws and Rum Runners and Scotch. Wonderful time was had.
Year and a half ago we talked them into going to some hidden gem of a restaurant in Wilton Manors that I knew of. The Saldo and Goldensohn Clan of 17-20 people. We had the best seafood platter of clams, fish, scallops and shrimp plus more stuff. We arrived at about 6:30P.M. and closed the restaurant at about 11:30P.M. We laughed and drank the night away. Sal then ask how I find these hidden restaurants but he wanted more so we went to sushi days later.
Within the last year and half, we have lost Jenny, my dad Sam and now Sal. What a great loss to the world.
I can remember the funny stories Sal and my dad Sam would tell of their crazy times.
Getting stuck on the 3 foot fence between our yards as they were connected. Buzzed they were.
Me and Dennis camping out in my backyard as small children. Well that didn't go over so well what did they expect with two hyper kids in a tent. We made a camp fire which burned like a barn fire in the middle of the lawn and my father saw the flames in his dresser mirror as he slept with one eye open and then running through the house thinking the house was on fire.
Dennis and I picking Mr. Smith's garden grapes and him chasing us.
GOD BLESS YA SAL AND JENNY. Together again. Rest in Peace.
