Selma Epstein Roth's Obituary
ROTH, Selma Epstein 83 passed away peacefully at her Miami residence on September 20, 2016. She now joins her beloved husband of over 50 years, Irwin, who passed away 7 years prior. Born on August 23, 1933, Selma was raised in West New York, NJ. Her passion for helping people led her to nursing school at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital in 1952. Upon graduation in 1955, her career lead her to Miami Beach, where she worked at Mount Sinai Hospital as a nurse. After wedding her soulmate in 1958, she later became an Optician and opened Eyesite Optical, where she worked with her daughter, Elyse, for approximately 25 years. During her marriage to Irwin, they enjoyed travelling the world together, skiing, dancing and hosting friends and family at their home in Miami Beach. Selma is survived by her daughter Elyse (Evan, esq.) Frankel, sons Dr. Steven Roth and Dr. David (Isabel) Roth, brother Herman Epstein, grandchildren Ashley, Alexis, Tyler and Erika. She was a loving mother to her children, many of their friends, as well as a caring and compassionate friend to all of those blessed to have been a part of her life. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
