Seymour Shweky's Obituary
Seymour Shweky, born in Brooklyn, New York on September 12, 1923-Died August 6, 2016. Went to Lafayette High School, enlisted and joined the US Air Corp. at the outset of WWII. Saw combat in the European theater, having done 35 missions over Germany and France. Was a part of D Day invasion. He was the proud recipient of the French Legion of Honor Medal, and the Flying Cross medal. Returned home, finished school and married his childhood sweeatheart, Harriet Fleit. After moving to Miami Beach, Florida, he chose to go into the field of Financial Services and truly loved doing that for more than 40 years. Seymour had an engaging personality and he was a natural. Years went by and Harriet passed away. Sy remarried Alberta Jerome and they celebrated almost 36 years together. He leaves children Carol Shweky Bond, Joel Shweky, Bruce and Stacy Shweky, grandchildren Julia Bond and Mathieu Rybarczyk, Lauren and Michael Cohen and great grand granddaughter Hayley Cohen and granddaughter's Hannah and Mia Shweky, brother Melvin (Violet) Starr and preceded in death by his brother Paul Shewky Memorial Service will be held at Levitt-Weinstein/ Beth David on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm. 3201 N 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33024.
