Sheila Presser Litz's Obituary
LITZ, SHEILA PRESSER, born May 22, 1938, to Esther and Gus Presser, in New York, NY. Her beautiful heart and soul left us on October 27, 2022. Sheila is survived by her children Ronni (Alan) Merkin, Steve Litz (Giselle Elgarresta Rios), grandchildren Jamie and Jordan Julien and Seth Litz. She joins her beloved husband, Norman, in heaven. She has been waiting to be reunited with him for two years.
Sheila was chosen as the “wittiest” senior at South Broward High School, graduated from the University of Florida, and was educated as a radiology technician in the late 1960s. When her children were born, she dedicated her entire life to them, tirelessly and endlessly, while working as a medical office manager for many South Florida physicians.
Though a traditional Jewish woman, Sheila’s “real” religion was her family. She could not have loved them any more than she did, nor have given any more time, emotional support, and devotion, all of her life. Sheila taught her children and grandchildren the meaning of a family’s love and connectedness, which we will carry forward forever.
An extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to so many. She will be the wind beneath our wings, for eternity.
Funeral services will be held at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel (18840 W. Dixie Highway, Miami) on Sunday, October 30, at 9:30 am, to be followed by interment at Mount Nebo Cemetery, 5505 NW 3rd Street, Miami, Florida. Send donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
