Sheldon "Shelly" Bloom's Obituary
Sheldon "Shelly" Bloom, born in Brooklyn, New York, and a longtime resident of Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Nathan and Rose Bloom.
He is survived by his daughters Wendy (William Bean) Bloom and Randi (Carlos) Hernandez; his brother Leonard Bloom of Tampa; his sister and best friend Linda Freedman; his granddaughters Jordyn and Emma Brazer; and his fiancée Marcella Bishop. Sheldon began his professional career as a court reporter before later becoming the longtime and well-known proprietor of Shelly Bloom’s Fashion Clothiers, one of Miami’s last independent men’s retail clothing stores.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Miami Memorial Gardens, 5505 NW 3rd Street, Miami, Florida 33126.
A Celebration of Life and Shiva will be held immediately following the services at the home of Randi and Carlos Hernandez.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sheldon’s honor to the Alzheimer's Association https://www.alz.org/ or any other charity of your choice.
