Sherman Baumrind's Obituary
BAUMRIND, Sherman, 95, passed away on Saturday November 12, 2016. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He spent his youth on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, raised a family with his late wife, Ethel, in Bensonhurst, and had a successful accounting practice with his brother, Seymour. Then in 1970 moved the family to Miami Beach where Sherman owned several hotel properties. He lived the good life with his loving wife, Ray, by traveling and staying active in sports and social activities. Always maintaining his religious convictions, Sherman Baumrind had a heart of gold. He is survived by his wife, Ray, daughters Susan (Larry) Freshman, Maxine (Jerry) Sapio & Hannah Winginit, grandchildren Erica, Adam, Lisa & David, and 6 great-grandchildren. Donations in memory of Sherman Baumrind may be made to the Charity of Your Choice. Chapel Service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Levitt-Weinstein Eternal Light Funeral Service Center, 18840 W. Dixie Hwy., North Miami Beach.
