Sidney William Honig's Obituary
Sidney William Honig 99+, Born April 27, 1924 to Morris & Sylvie "Chippa" Honig. Being a Taurus the Bull throughout his life, even to the end; he passed peacefully on April 30, 2023 under Catholic/L'Chaim Hospice Services. Sidney's life vocation was in men's clothing in Manhattan, NY. Following retirement to Florida; he became bored and worked a 2nd career at Saks 5th Avenue in Bal Harbour Shops, Florida until his final retirement. His hobbies were dubbing music (cassette tapes to CD's) and dancing-he had legs like Fred Astaire. He returns to God and again walks hand in hand with his first longtime companion Charles Charens of 52 years at the time of Charles passing in 1997. Predeceased by his parents, sister-Shirley (Sy), grandmother Branna. Survived by his second longtime partner of 21 years and legally married of 8 years on January 8, 2023 to Timothy Kuehne, uncle to Mitchell (Donna) Fuhr. Burial was on May 5, 2023 in the family plot between Charles Charens & Morris Honig located at New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. The family requests donations in memory of Sidney Honig be made to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, www.jewishmiami.org or American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
