To all Sid's family, the Bennetts express their heartfelt condolences. It's remarkable that Sid's and my dad, Roy's, collaboration began as young kids. Over the years, they wrote truly wonderful music that touched the hearts of countless people literally around the world. Together, they were even greater than the sum of their parts. The hallmark of so many of their songs was a catchy tune, coupled with wonderfully clever lyrics. And few, if any, other songwriters can match the astonishing range of performers who recorded their work -- from Duke Ellington to Louis Armstrong to Frank Sinatra to Elvis to The Beatles. From us Bennetts -- Roy, Keith, and Neil -- we'll always remember Sid and the legacy he helped create.
