She also attended the first National Women’s Conference in Houston, TX in 1977. Sunny loved many types of music, from folk music to opera to disco. She loved to sing, and once sang on stage with Pete Seeger at a Hudson River Clearwater Festival. Sunny is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Leonard, who died in 2015. She is survived by her three sons, Glenn, Jonathan, and Derek, her grandchildren Ivan, Alejandro, Marlon, Simone, Isabella and Philip, and her sister Karleen “Kandy” Kassan
