Brown, Stanley L., passed away Friday, November 3, 2017. Beloved husband of Madeline Lockwood Brown, the love of his life for 67 years; loving father of Dale (Martha) Brown, Jeffrey (Gail) Brown, Gary (Mindy) Brown and Bruce Brown; cherished grandfather of Scott, Jody, David, Robert, Mondy, Michelle, Stephanie, Mike, Joanna, Josh, Melissa, Eric, Jared, Kevin, Mathew, Mark and Alec; adored great-grandfather of Stella and Carter; dear brother of Jack (Esther) Brown; uncle of many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Devoted caregiver Julian Trowers. Mr. Brown was a lifetime resident of Miami, graduating from Miami High & the University of Miami. As a naval officer, he served this country proudly during WW II. Stanley and his father David and brother Jack were pioneers of the hotel industry in Miami & Miami Beach. As president of the Brown Charity Foundation since the 1950’s, they have been supporting many local charities. They have also supported the University of Miami. He was also a long-time member of Temple Israel of Miami and Temple Sinai of North Dade.
