Stanley Brownstein's Obituary
Stanley Theodore Brownstein, 91, of Miami Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in Gainesville, Florida, on February 11, 2021. Stanley was born in New Haven, Connecticut, on May 24, 1929, to Florence and Irving Brownstein. He is predeceased by his loving wife of over 60 years, Linda Nash Brownstein, and granddaughter Shira. He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Janet), Fred (Patti), and Alan; grandchildren, Naomi, Brian, Sara, Rachel, Alexandria, and Joshua; nieces and many cousins, too numerous to be named. Stanley was an officer in the United States Army who served as a Medical Platoon Leader in Korea during the Korean War. Stanley graduated from the Albany (NY) School of Pharmacy and practiced pharmacy for 57 years in South Florida, receiving an award from the Governor of Florida for practicing over 50 years. Stanley was a family man and most summers drove the family to Elmira, NY to visit his parents Irving and Betty (2nd wife) and other relatives. He loved collecting stamps and playing card games with his children and grandchildren. He was a good man, honest, trustworthy, great family provider, hard worker, family man, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Stanley always had a smile on his face, treated his wife like a queen, and always had something nice to say.
